margoeveThe plot was predictable (duh) but really this was genuinely a FUN movie. In spite of the title giving everything you need to know about the movie to you, there are a few surprises, both scary and funny, that keep you engaged.
Of course having the right company helps (thank you).
Oh, and yes, Samuel L. Jackson is one bad ass snake destroying mutha fucka. He's the best thing about the movie, yet, amazingly enough he is not the ONLY good thing about this movie. There are quite a few moments in this film without Mr. L. Jackson that amused me.
I mean, this is a movie that you don't expect much from... other than, well, Samuel L. Jackson and Mother Fucking Snakes on a Mother Fucking Plane. However the movie itself is kind of like getting an extra prize in your happy meal. That is to say, still 'junk food,' but more fun than you thought it would be.
Yes, I do think it is worth a watch with a few good friends.
