Not Flesh Nor Feathers
Nov. 4th, 2007 01:06 amI'm not a fan of the Horror genre.
I HATE zombies, serial killer, or general boogieman/evil spirits like movies.
I won't watch Saw, 28 Days Later, or any modern horror flick. They give me nightmares.
Books are another story, though I don't generally grab horror books. Not even Stephen King.
That being said, I love Cherie Priest's latest Eden Moore novel. I INHALED it. Here is a character that I really don't want to see go away. I have so many questions that as a selfish fan, I want answered damn it!
Not that I can ask them without giving away too much. Damn you
cmpriest, you've hooked me on Eden. She sees dead people AND she kicks ass. She kicks ass in the way Anita Blake used to before she became some weird outlet for the authors sexual exploration. She kicks ass like Buffy, Rachel Morgan (Kim Harrison's books), and all of Kelly Armstrong's Other World Characters.
I want more of her story. Yeah, I know the deal with Tor was three. But... but... I want more!
And if you are not
cmpriest and are wondering what the heck I am talking about, the books I am referring to are the following:
Four and Twenty Black Birds
Wings to The Kingdom
Not Flesh Nor Feathers
